Students showcase their entrepreneurial and business...
Two traditional student competitions took place last month: The sixth annual Gallaudet Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (GIEI) BisonTank on March 8, and the 19th annual Sutcliffe Business Bowl on March 29.
Seven students competed in this year’s BisonTank. International Development graduate student Aanuoluwapo Omoleye won the $5,000 first place prize with a proposal titled AbleBooks Africa.

Fourteen students participated in the Sutcliffe Business Bowl. Undergraduate student Kevin Danielson won the $500 first prize, followed by two $300 second place winners: Rayston Fonseca and Max Skjeveland. Dr. Ronald E. Sutcliffe, ’59, who endowed the Sutcliffe Business Bowl with his wife, the late Agnes Dunn Sutcliffe, ’59, was in attendance, as were several of his children, including Long & Foster Realtor Glen W. Sutcliffe and Jane A. Sutcliffe, G-’92.
