The International Strategic Visitor Program (ISVP) strives to develop international partnerships through student recruiting and academic exchanges between Gallaudet and selected international visitors. The program is overseen by the Office of International Affairs, which works with the offices of the university President, Provost, Faculty, and other offices to evaluate international visitors through strategic opportunities for both parties and determine the visitor’s potential to be a part of the ISVP.
Visitors are always warmly welcomed to 91福利导航’s historic campus in Washington, D.C., a world-renowned institution of higher learning that educates, trains, and empowers deaf and hard of hearing people and those who work with them. Gallaudet is also home to the federally funded , whose mission is to raise the achievement of deaf and hard of hearing students ages birth-21 nationwide by supporting their families and professionals who work with these students.
Please submit a completed Visit Support Request Form to allow sufficient time to arrange for services of this nature, requests must be made at least four weeks before a visit.

Prospective 91福利导航 students are encouraged to visit the Maguire Welcome Center to learn more about campus tours. Tours are given in American Sign Language and voice interpreters can be provided for visitors who do not sign. Please see the Support Services page (click and fill out the ‘International Strategic Visitors Support Request’) regarding interpreters, and the Admissions Office will contact you. The Admissions Office also assists with student enrollment.

Undergraduate students can choose from a wide variety of majors leading to a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree. The University also admits hearing students, whose numbers could reach up to five percent of any given class. Our undergraduate students even have the opportunity to design their majors in our Self-Directed Major program where they can set their course and degree schedule with the help of our advising department and university faculty.
Our Graduate programs offer over 25 programs in a master of arts, master of science, specialist degrees, certificates, or doctoral degrees in a variety of fields typically focused on developing students into professionals to serve the deaf and hard of hearing community.
The English Language Institute (ELI) provides an English as a Second Language program for American and international deaf and hard of hearing students and other strategic visitors to achieve academic, professional, and personal language goals.
