鈥淧articipating in this pageant was an experience like no other, one that I will never forget. I had the opportunity to meet other inspiring, strong, and determined young women.  This experience taught me the importance of how you carry yourself, especially as a Latina who is hard of hearing. It was terrifying for me to get out of my comfort zone; however, it helped build my confidence. We don鈥檛 know what we are capable of until we try it, and that is just what I did: I tried something new which turned out to be an exciting journey.鈥

According to the , their state and national pageants are for 鈥淭oday鈥檚 Girl鈥 and 鈥淭omorrow鈥檚 Leaders.鈥 鈥淭he pageant program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise, and presentation. The pageant seeks to recognize the accomplishments of each girl while encouraging her to set goals for the future!鈥

Congratulations and good luck, Zoila!
